Certification
It is important to check the credentials of anyone who provides renewable energy systems. In a new but growing industry, certification is key.
We have been designing, supplying and installing PV and wind systems for almost ten years and have real world knowledge of these systems and the associated equipment. We also understand what is required legally with regard to the CEC (Canadian Electrical Code) when it comes to design and installation. By all means, seek other quotes and and shop around, but we also ask that you pose these following questions:

What are your qualifications when it comes to design and installation? Are you an electrician, or will you hire an electrician? If the answer is yes to either question, will you or the electrician be willing to provide valid proof?

Will you be taking out the necessary electrical permit? (If the answer is no, or if they ask you to do it, move on to the next dealer.)

Are you familiar with the Canadian Electrical Code, in particular, sections 50 and 84?

Do you have references from past clients and colleagues?
